AVT Simulation Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

I got my resume submitted through a recruiter, but I had actually applied on the company website first. The recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. I felt the on-site interview went well, I liked everyone I met and felt I could do the job. The interview questions seemed fair. Then, I was ghosted and still see the job posting up.

Met with the hiring manager. They introduced the company, the program, and the products. Then we discussed my experience and skill set. After that, there were some behavioral questions, and finally, they asked why I'm interested in this position.

I had a call with one interviewer who was really great to talk to, but the hiring manager I spoke with on the phone seemed super bored and just not into it. He also sounded a bit condescending when he went over my answers. Honestly, it felt like a waste of time for everyone.
