Avon Supply Chain Analyst interviews, decoded.

I had a quick phone interview, then a 1:1 with the recruiter at their office. After that, I met with the Purchasing managers. They thought I was a good fit and then I had to do a drug test. It was a pretty straightforward process, and the managers were easy to talk to and clear about what they expected.

i was contacted about 3 weeks later to set up a panel interview with 3 people that are currently working at avon. They took turns asking similar questions and writing down notes. Was then conctacted by recruiter to update me on process and was contacted to do a background check and references and then was offered the job.

The recruiter seemed to have very little knowledge of the actual job requirements and asked generic questions based on the job description. It was hard to tell if I was even qualified. I suspect the whole point was to gather information, and I'm not sure if there was even a real job opening. Four of us who were qualified for the position interviewed, and each of us was rejected for some reason. I really think age discrimination might have played a part.
