Avito Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

It was basically a questionnaire covering a bunch of stuff like golang syntax, databases, network, and basic protocols. They didn't really ask algorithmic problems, or if they did, they were super easy. The design interview wasn't too tough either, though I can't recall all the specifics. My main advice is to really nail down the language you'll be using before you interview.

The interview process was really professional and went smoothly, kind of like Yandex interviews but a bit simpler. There were two coding interviews, followed by a systems design interview. The last step was a final interview with my potential team lead. I wasn't too impressed with the HR person, though.

The process included: a phone call with the recruiter, a high-level chat about my back-end development experience, an algorithms round, an interview about the language platform I'm most comfy with, a system design round, and a final people & culture chat with HR and team folks. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Declined their offer, it was tough. 10/10 would apply again.
