I applied for this role back in November, and the interview process spanned through December and into January, totaling 6 rounds. The first round was with the recruiter I'd been in touch with. The subsequent interviews were with team members or the hiring manager. Some interviewers were engaged and informative, while others seemed disengaged and lacked knowledge about the position. Given that it wasn't a senior role and the salary was undisclosed (the recruiter wouldn't share it), the extended interview process felt excessive and like a significant time investment. The recruiter also stopped responding to my emails.
It was a pretty chill interview process, felt more like a conversation than anything super formal. The interviewers were really nice and approachable, and they even shared a bit about themselves. You had to get through 3 main interviews to get an offer, and they were all done online.
I talked to my future manager for about 30 minutes, then had an hour-long panel interview with two of my future teammates. They asked pretty standard behavioral questions that you can answer using the STAR method.
