The interview didn't actually take place. The HR person asked me to reschedule because of something personal, and after that, they ghosted me even though I sent more emails.
It was an in person paid technical interview that was also training. It was pretty straightforward. Needed good sterile lab experience and etiquette. The phone interview was just to confirm laboratory experience with PCR and RNA.
Recruiters were responsive and the process was professional initially. However, the company removed salary and benefits info from the job posting after I applied and then re-posted the identical job description. When I inquired, they stated they rejected my application due to narrowed specifications, despite not proceeding with other candidates. I noticed the updated posting, lacking compensation details, and suspect they might have been using early applicants to gauge a lower pay range for future candidates. It felt like a waste of my time as they might have intended to low-ball later applicants, a tactic I've heard is not uncommon.
