I went through 2 rounds, the first was a screening round where we had to give an online test on aptitude and personality. The second was a code pair round. The second round was also easy, with very basic questions about Java vs Python oops concepts. All questions seemed like they were googled. After the interview, I felt the interviewer was unaware of automation and was interviewing after googling. So, overall not a good experience, but yes, an easy interview to crack, just go through the basics.
So first, I had a phone chat with a Test lead. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview. It was a 5-hour thing, with one person interviewing me at a time. I talked to a test lead, a dev lead, 2 devs, and then a VP at the very end. Basically, everyone I talked to asked me about problem solving, coding, and testing. The questions weren't super hard or out of the blue. They were all pretty chill and nice.
This is a nice company to work with. I love working at Avalara, the compensation is good and they offer extra facilities like a gym and internet. The colleagues are nice and the managers are supportive. I'm glad to be part of the orange team.
