Avalara Marketing Manager interviews, decoded.

Had two interviews that were half an hour each. It felt pretty laid back and more like a chat. They were interested in my background and accomplishments and asked a few questions about how I'd handle certain work situations. I ended up turning down the offer because they couldn't budge on the salary, which I thought was a bit low for the job duties, especially since it was a contract role. The team vibe they described didn't really appeal to me culturally.

The communication was slow and I was ghosted. The TA team treated me terribly even though I spent a lot of time on their process. I would avoid this process unless desperate, as it probably reflects the company culture and how they don't care about their people.

The recruiter didn't even bother to show up for the interview and left the candidate waiting more than once. Lacks professionalism. Never had such a disrespectful process in all senses. Terrible professional.
