The interviewer was gentle and knowledgeable. Not too judgemental, they asked questions and clarified all the doubts of the role. Pre-sales questions were the main focus. Technical questions were few, with pre-sales/functional questions being more numerous.
The discussions were wonderful, but the process wasn't very clear. I'm unsure about the number of discussions I'll need, who I'll be speaking with, and I still don't fully grasp the hiring process or who I'd report to. Again, the discussions were WONDERFUL, with very smart people, an amazing experience, and energizing conversations. While I'm happy to continue these discussions, I have no idea if I need to talk to 4, 5, 10, or more people, nor do I understand the actual hiring and onboarding process. It's a bit odd because an unattended bot could automate much of this, making the process MUCH more efficient.
A headhunter set up this interview. The hiring manager was my first contact. The interview began with direct questions about my basic and relevant knowledge of the technology scope. It felt like they wanted short, direct, yes-no answers. The interviewer seemed stoic and rigid, which wasn't the best way to start. It didn't feel like a good setup for an open discussion or make me feel confident to have a fruitful conversation.
