Candidate-reported interview process

I applied for this job online and first got a java test. After that, I had to do a personality test and then spoke with two Senior Developers. The final step was an in-person interview with the same developers I spoke with previously. The questions covered my background, details on past projects, Java, basic DS&A, network problems, and system design.

The interview process, right from the initial conversation with Amy Rosenberg through to the last stage, was a really positive and pleasant experience. Amy was great at keeping me updated on schedules and what was needed. It all went very smoothly and was actually enjoyable. Amy made me feel comfortable, and everyone I met at Auto/Mate was friendly and professional. While it takes a bit of time to complete the whole process, they manage to keep it stress-free.

The interview process was really thorough but still felt relaxed. They asked questions that really got to the heart of whether I could do the job and if I'd fit in, without being pushy. It was a great overall experience. I really enjoyed working with Amy Rosenberg; she kept me in the loop the whole time. I had the chance to chat with HR, the company president, the CFO, and the National Sales Director. They made me feel totally welcome, not at all intimidated.
