A recruiter contacted me for a casual chat and suggested I complete a case study to demonstrate my abilities. Since I'm not a software engineer, the case study didn't go well.
I spoke with 2 software managers over the phone. They both asked me to discuss my resume and my experience. There were 1 or 2 situation questions, but nothing technical. One manager even helped me talk through my interests in my major. They were really helpful people.
The interview process was really detailed. I had 3 phone interviews first, 2 technical and 1 general interview. The questions were mostly about how well I could do the job. After that, I took a quiz that was pretty hard but doable. Then, for the on-site, I had to give a presentation about a past job-related project. This was followed by one-on-one Q&A sessions. We finished with a tour of the place.
