The first round (Stage 1) involves introducing yourself, talking more about your experience, and a quick question about what you know about the firm and your motivation for the role. Stage 2 is a technical interview with mathematical puzzles.
The interview started with some questions about my motivation for applying and why I enjoy modelling. Following that, there were problem-solving questions. One involved code, asking about the convergence value. Another was about devising a winning strategy for a card game where players alternately pick 1 to 3 cards.
I had a first round with general questions like introducing myself, why I applied for this role and company, and then a lot of Olympic Maths questions. They helped me figure out the answers, but I took too long and didn't make it to the next round.
