It was a pretty chill interview. The interviewer started by explaining the role, saying it's very research-heavy for an internship. Then we talked about my resume and they asked some questions about my past projects and my knowledge in related areas. We ended with me asking them some questions. It felt more like a chat than an interview.
They will review your resume and discuss your projects and past experience. They'll also go over expectations, the tech stack, and the specific project you'll be working on during your internship. Finally, you'll need to solve one Leetcode question.
It was a 1 hour interview with 3 people. Only 1 person was talking most of the time. Interview started with some resume questions and role sharing. Interviewer then spent more than half the time talking about other non-technical roles under other teams and kept asking me if I am interested. I repeatedly mentioned that I wanted the role that I applied for but was open to doing other roles if I did not get it. For more than 30 minutes interviewer kept trying to convince me to take other roles but I gave the same reply. They then mentioned the outcome will be out in a few days. Ended up taking more than 2 weeks. Whole process could have been done in 30 minutes or less.
