You'll meet the head of the department you need and someone from HR. They will ask questions about your resume. For example, why did you choose mechanical engineering after high school? And why do you want to work at Audi?
About 3 weeks after applying, I received an email invitation for an in-person interview. It was a nice initial contact. After that, I had a conversation with two department heads and an HR person. The employer gave a brief presentation, and then I had to recount my resume from the beginning. There were many follow-up questions about my resume, mostly focusing on soft skills rather than technical aspects. The interview lasted for an hour.
The department workflow was explained. Afterwards, the applicant was asked questions, especially about experience with tools and typical tasks. Then, there was time for questions from the applicant and a final assessment of the chances of success.
