I had a standard and pleasant interview. The recruiter told me she'd get back to me the following week. Then, I got a voicemail from her to set up a second on-site interview. I sent my availability by email. However, after a week with no news, I followed up once by email, but got no response. This lack of response felt disrespectful and makes me not want to apply again.
The interview process was super clear and organized. I went through two rounds with both the Head of Internal Audit and HR. We first talked about the audit strategy, how the team is structured, and our presence in APAC. Then, we dove into my background, covering risk assessment, planning, testing, and reporting. I also presented a recent audit I completed from start to finish and worked through a quick case study on how to scope and sample for an audit. They were really timely and professional in their communication. Unfortunately, the amount of travel required for the role didn't work out with my family situation.
I spoke with the Head of Talent initially, and she mentioned they always give feedback. The whole thing took months, maybe because of internal changes. I had a few online meetings set up. One time, she just didn't show up, and then I heard nothing back. It's a shame when what happens doesn't match what's said.
