The whole interview was about 30 min. They asked about my work experience and if I was willing to commute. They also described what daily life was like for this position.
I applied online and got an email a few days later from the admissions manager with details about the position, followed by a brief phone interview. Had one, moderately difficult, in-person interview with both the admissions and the animal care managers lasting around 30 minutes. It was a fairly standard interview with questions from a packet. After the in-person interview, there was a working interview (pretty standard for that kind of position) that lasted a full workday. It was paid, which was a pleasant surprise compared to my last job. Less than a week later I was offered the job.
After applying online, I had a phone interview, then an in-person one. For the in-person, HR wasn't aware I was coming and turned me away. After I got home, they called to say it was a mistake and I was supposed to be interviewed. I rescheduled and did the interview. Then, I had a working interview where I worked a full 8-hour day with minimal training or supervision. A manager spoke with me about the company's pros and cons; they seemed really stressed and overworked. Since I needed a job, I accepted the offer when it came.
