Athelas Product Manager interviews, decoded.

It was a simple process with 4 rounds in total. I had a phone screening, then talked to the hiring manager, the engineering manager, and a business stakeholder. They were very focused on product, so I'd recommend checking out the company website and watching their demo videos.

So the hiring manager from Commure walked me through a few rounds of 1:1 interviews, mostly with the product team. One interview was with someone from customer success, and the last one was with the Athelas COO. The COO was not prepared at all and clearly didn't know much about healthcare, which was obvious right away. She was also really insecure about it, which made her lash out during the interview. This was way different from the hiring manager and other team members who were professional in their 1:1s. It's good that Athelas does this though, because it definitely makes sure people who deserve better jobs stay away from working under such a toxic COO.

This company isn't worth your time. The product and leadership teams are unprofessional and inexperienced, and it seems like a sweatshop. They waste your time with multiple interview rounds, only to provide no feedback. All the negative reviews are likely true, so proceed with caution. I spoke with current employees who feel unappreciated and are looking to leave. The interview process doesn't align with their stated guide. The recruiter was the only positive aspect. Pay and equity are also subpar.
