The hiring process took an excessively long time. There were many interviews with different people at the company for a job that's considered entry-level. They also had hour-long assessments as part of the interview. It's not practical for a company to take two months to hire someone internally for an entry to mid-level role.
I had what I thought was the recruiter call. She asked a few questions then said she was transferring me to the assistant manager for a tech interview. Then she said if I got past both of those, they'd want to fly me out for an in person interview. It's a remote position so that seems unnecessary, especially with all the planes crashing. Like for real?
I had an interview at Assurity. First, a recruiter asked me some basic questions over the phone. Then, I spoke with the technical lead, who asked questions that seemed totally unrelated to the job description. I'm honestly not sure how this company operates.
