Assurant Business Analyst interviews, decoded.

There were a lot of questions about the job itself. They asked about functional requirements and how to put them into practice. They also asked how I would lead a brainstorming session. Then they asked about projects I'd worked on that went well and ones that didn't. They also wanted to know if I tend to be a leader or a follower. No typical personality questions though. Some of the interviewers seemed pretty serious and didn't show much emotion, but don't let that fool you.

It was painless. It was with 4 managers. I think the questions were straightforward for the most part. It was what I expected it to be. If anything I think that they wanted to get to know me as a person. The questions were personality based. I think personality based questions are the easiest to answer. Just be yourself. If a job is a great fit for for you then you will get it. I never go in trying to sell myself as someone I am not. I think my interviewers appreciated my honesty. My experience was great.

First I talked to a recruiter. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that there was a panel interview. Then I had three more interviews, two phone calls and one in person with executive management. It was a long process for an entry level job.
