Candidate-reported interview process

I had a screening call, and then was given multiple behavioral screening tests to complete, which took about an hour in total. After that, I was invited to an hour-long interview with the hiring manager. They were a bit late, and spent most of the time asking consulting-style questions focused on solving their business problems, rather than evaluating my fit for the role or vice versa. It felt like a waste of time.

The interview started with a phone screen that was alright. Next, I had a virtual panel interview, which I thought went well. Following that were a handwriting analysis and a personality assessment. They claimed these weren't for hiring decisions, but they totally were! I got rejected after the assessments, even though I moved through the live interviews pretty fast. It's kinda funny because I've got 20 years of experience and tons of contacts. So yeah, it was definitely the assessments. The issue with these is that they lack solid scientific proof for hiring, though they might hint at work style for better management down the line, but that's also questionable.

The process is pretty straightforward up until the in-person interview, which usually lasts about 4 hours. That's the final stage, and they'll let you know if you've got the offer within two weeks after that.
