The interview process is a little long but not difficult. They are very understanding in trying to gain experience through their internship. All that they are really looking for is if you have the potential skills and if your work style matches the program.
The interview process at Assuaged was well-organized and gave me a good feel for the role. I really liked the writing focus, especially how it relates to my interests and making a difference. A big part of it was writing about how my work could have an impact, not just on me but on others too. This showed me they care about serving the community and value good writing skills. By asking for an essay, they could see if I had what it takes, which was a smart way to evaluate candidates.
It was a smooth process. My advisor was there for every step helping me by guiding through this process. Cynthia Murphy was amazing with her timing and understanding. I did not have to wait because time was not on side trying to find an internship.
