I was emailed by a recruiter to set up a virtual interview for an Operations Lead role at Aspen Dental. However, the recruiter did not show up for our scheduled Teams meeting and didn't communicate beforehand or after. I waited the entire meeting time and sent a follow-up but heard nothing back. It's really unprofessional to ghost candidates who prepared and showed up, especially when respect and communication are supposed to be company values. Candidates put effort into the interview process, and clear communication, like a reschedule or apology, should be standard. I hope Aspen Dental fixes these issues in the candidate experience.
The interview process with Jalin was unsatisfactory, as Jalin lacked the competence to review candidates properly. The only interaction was a 20-minute Zoom interview, after which I was ghosted and received no communication, even after multiple attempts to get a simple denial.
I was contacted by a recruiter after applying. Then I had an in-person interview with someone they called a regional manager. The next day, I was told the current manager decided to stay so they weren't hiring anymore. The interview was very sales-focused, with much less management than advertised. The hours aren't ideal, and the time off offered for a management role is way less than I've had before; even retail jobs offer more time off.
