Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process kicked off with a roughly 30-minute phone chat with an optical engineer. They gave a quick overview of the company and the team. Then, they asked about my background, education, and some projects I've done. We discussed my experience in optical design, simulation, and fabrication. They also asked about my location and team preferences. To wrap up, they outlined potential optical engineer roles that might suit my profile, the timeline for hearing back, and what the next steps in the interview process could be.

Submitted my CV through the ASML workspace. When it was accepted, I was invited to ASML for a chat about the job. Since I did my internship there, it was less formal than other interviews.

I interviewed for a senior optical engineering role back in 2021 and it was a good experience. It started with an hour-long research presentation that included a Q&A session. After that, there were multiple in-person follow-up interviews covering both technical and behavioral aspects.
