A recruiter reached out for a roughly 30-minute chat. If that went well, I was supposed to get an invite for a Zoom tech screen with an engineer. I provided my availability, but then I didn't hear back, which was a bit disappointing as I would have at least expected an auto rejection.
I had an initial HR chat about my resume and background. Then, about a week later, I spoke with an engineer over the phone. They asked me some broad JavaScript questions.
So, there were six rounds total. The first was just a recruiter call to get basic info, and she set up a tech screen for three weeks later. Then, round three was a two-hour technical interview with the team manager. Round four was the on-site, about five hours, covering basic string operations and data structures, nothing too tough. The last round was with the VP for salary talks and a personality check.
