Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ashby.
Implementation Specialist
The interview process moved along quickly and without issues. However, the technical assessment had unclear and conflicting requirements. The hiring teams need to be more upfront and aligned on expectations. They should focus on evaluating a candidate's actual capabilities instead of rigidly following internal procedures and standards that are impossible to know or showcase in a mock call or case study.
- Can you share examples of projects you've worked on?
- What challenges have you faced with products and clients?
Implementation Specialist
They started off with letting me ask questions, which felt a bit unusual at first but it actually helped me understand what they were looking for. I didn't move forward because the role wasn't the best fit for my experience, but I was happy with how the interview process went. The interviewer was professional but also friendly and approachable, and importantly, they followed up when they said they would.
- Do you have any questions for us?
Product Support Specialist
I went through the interview process for the Product Support Specialist role, which spanned three weeks. It started with a recruiter call, then there was a technical assessment where I had to handle sample customer issues, followed by two video interviews. The first video interview was with the Support Team Lead, and the last one was a panel interview. Even though I didn't get the job because they needed someone with more ATS experience, the whole process was really well put together and gave me a good sense of their company vibe and what they focus on with their product.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
