Ashby Account Executive interviews, decoded.

First, there was an initial screen call that lasted 30 minutes. Then, a take-home sales writing exercise followed, and a 60-minute career journey interview. The final round was 90 minutes long and involved a 60-minute role-play focusing on discovery and demo, and a 30-minute deal strategy discussion. Finally, references were checked before an offer was made.

It started with an initial HR screen, followed by a small take-home writing assignment where I had to draft both an inbound and outbound email. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager. This interview involved a deep dive into my past experiences, going all the way back to college, to understand my character and decision-making process. The process concluded with a mock demo.

Kind of an odd interview. As most have mentioned, they start off by asking what questions you have about the company/role, to which I had come prepared with which questions I still had after doing some of my own research. After going through my questions I had asked if the interviewer could tell me a little bit about the role and their response is "well what do you want to know". It made me feel like I was in the wrong for asking this question and like the interviewer just wasn't prepared at all with a company pitch. Very odd interview and experience
