The recruiter was very efficient, providing interview feedback the next day or sometimes immediately after the interview. Mike, the recruiter, was very attentive to candidates, and we had multiple phone calls to finalize interview and compensation details. He was friendly and considerate of my perspective. I received a bag of ASAPP merchandise on my onsite visit. The design team's work is impressive, and the product shows significant promise. The employees here are highly qualified and seem content with their jobs. Unfortunately, I couldn't accept the offer due to personal family reasons.
This was one of the worst interview processes I've experienced. From the initial contact to the final interview, the employees came across as arrogant and overly pleased with themselves. They used a lot of buzzwords. The job itself seemed appealing initially, but the interactions with current staff during the interview process were a major deterrent.
The process took about 2.5 months. I think there were around 5 or 6 interviews, plus a technical challenge where I had to install a service, set up a front UI, and create an automation for both the backend and frontend. I spent a lot of time on it, which caused me to fall behind on my regular tasks. After submitting the challenge and receiving confirmation that everything was okay, I went through two more interviews. Then, they told me I didn't meet the technical profile. It felt like a complete waste of time, and I regret playing their senseless game. It took me a while to catch up on the work I missed.
