It was an 8+1 round process for a job that pays Rs10000 per month. The first round was a GD which selected about 10% of the total students. After this, in every round, half the students were selected. At last, 2-3 candidates got selected. The final round was a telephonic technical interview.
This was my very first campus placement drive. It was a pool drive conducted at our college, which meant a lot of candidates from various streams applied, so the competition was high. Initially, there was a group discussion (GD) round, and about 90% of the participants, including some high-ranking students, were eliminated. Fortunately, I managed to clear the GD round along with three of my classmates. Following the GD, we had an aptitude test and an English test. After these, a personal interview (PI) was conducted. Out of the 600-700 candidates who initially participated, only 5 were selected. Although it was a memorable day for me, I unfortunately got rejected after the English test.
Got a call from HR, then had to take an aptitude test with 20 questions. After that, there was a face-to-face interview with the HOD of maintenance at a hotel in Roorkee. Around 20 candidates showed up. Following the technical round, I interviewed with the HR head, and the next day I got an offer letter via email.
