There was just one interview, but it was 5 years ago. First, there was a general abilities test (like an IQ test) to see how well you use resources, think clearly, and make sense of information. Then, there was a group assessment for 3 people. They evaluated our language skills, soft skills, and problem-solving abilities. Overall, it was a good experience and a productive use of time. The company was hiring for a new project and needed more than one person.
I only had the Excel test. I would have loved to have an interview as I could truly shine there I think. I really think just blocking people from interviewing just because of a small Excel test is a big glassdoor.
It was a 4-stage process: 2 were technical, 1 was a technical discussion, and the final round had leaders and HR. I was asked to do a SWOT analysis for introducing tablets from a Chinese company in the German market. This task had nothing to do with my responsibilities. I refused to do it. Alternatively, I was asked to present a project relevant to the job. The employment contract had some hidden catches that weren't mentioned during the interview. It was uncomfortable.
