Candidate-reported interview process

The graduate consultant hiring process can differ depending on the team. I started with a standard online application where I detailed my education, work history, motivations, and an example of an operation I found inspiring. After that, I had a screening call with HR. This led to an assessment day which included a competency-based interview with the HR lead. Then, I was presented with two case study options. I selected the one about designing operations for an international airport terminal and identifying efficiency measures. Following 20 minutes to prepare, I presented my thoughts informally to senior consultants and the director of operations consulting.

Arup responded fast and ran a really helpful assessment centre. The staff were very welcoming, made us feel calm and relaxed, and guided us through everything.

So I had a phone interview where they asked me about my motivations and why I’m interested in arup. Also some scenario based questions. The interviewer seemed to reading off as sheet and typing as I spoke which was distracting. Still waiting for outcome however I am in the next stage ‘which is a review from hiring managers’ if i am selected I go to the assessment centre
