Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process was smooth and well-organized. The team was professional, friendly, and asked thoughtful questions that allowed me to showcase my skills. Clear communication and a positive atmosphere made the experience enjoyable and reinforced my interest in the role.

Applied online through a recruiter, and had one interview with the company. The interviewer was lovely and the interview was very conversational. Was told I was the top candidate but did not get offered the job because they were looking for a male candidate to even out a female dominated team. This is illegal to say as it goes against the Sex Discrimination Act.

The interview process involved two main rounds. The first was a conversation with the hiring manager and a peer. The second round was with a director. The environment felt friendly and relaxed, with interviewers dressed more casually than I was. It felt more like a chat than a formal interview.
