The interview journey at Artlist was super smooth and professional. It kicked off with a nice HR call where we chatted about my background, what gets me motivated, and the general company vibe. After that, I had a technical interview that drilled down into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which I thought was spot on and relevant. The folks interviewing me were really cool, patient, and actually seemed interested in what I'd done before. Everything was organized well, and they kept me in the loop quickly and clearly. All in all, it was a really great and fun experience that gave me a solid first impression of the company and the team.
We started with a quick chat with a team lead, then went into a technical interview with a developer where we mostly talked about react and the front-end stack. After that, I had an interview with the VP of R&D, which included personal questions and a short technical assignment. Finally, I had an interview with HR.
Had a phone interview where we talked about my past experience, it was fine. Then I had a live coding interview with some standard JS questions, I did well. After that, I got a take-home assignment in React. I finished it super fast and uploaded it to GitHub like they asked. Waited 4 days with no word. Then they told me I did okay, but they wanted someone 'with more experience'. I couldn't get a clear answer on what was missing in my work. Felt like they had other candidates and didn't respect my time.
