The interview felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. The interviewers had a packet of specific behavioral questions and wrote down all of my answers. One interviewer was friendly and approachable, but the other remained very serious throughout, which made the process feel intense. Based on their body language, it sometimes felt like my answers weren’t good enough. I’ve had multiple interviews at different companies, and this was one of the more difficult ones. I would strongly recommend practicing behavioral questions and preparing clear stories for various scenarios so you can remain confident and not be intimidated or thrown off guard.
It was two interviews total. After the first interview, they wanted me to come to their headquarters. They don't really consider that people have jobs. I took PTO and drove all the way up there, only to be rejected a week later even though the interview seemed to go well.
So the interview process involved a recruiter phone screening first, then a take-home assignment where I had to fetch data and store it in a relational database. After that, there was an onsite interview with some Engineer Leads, which lasted about two hours.
