I applied online and then got a call from the local HR office to set up an interview. The interview was one-on-one at their office and went for about 40 minutes. About a week later, I got a call saying I was selected and they asked if it was okay to run a background check. That came back in 5 days, and HR called me to let me know and sent over the welcome email with the orientation packet and the date for orientation.
I had the experience for the job but didn't get it because they needed someone for 11-7:30. I asked for 9-5:30 or 10-6:30 because my kids are in school and daycare, but they said no. They couldn't change the hours, so they hired someone without experience and no kids.
The interview process included a 1:1 interview with the S&M manager and the department manager. In the second interview, I also met with the previous supervisor of the department. The first round was about 25 minutes, and the second one was a bit longer and more detailed.
