Candidate-reported interview process

Got an online app to check my profile/style first, then HR emailed to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. It got rescheduled a few times because he was busy. Finally had the phone interview. It was a good chat about management style, preferences, attitude, and how to handle conflict. He said feedback would come in a week. Never heard back. Tried to reach out to the recruiter a few times, still no answer. Asked another HR person who was included in all emails from the start and who said they'd try to get feedback from the hiring manager. Still nothing. Such a waste of time and disrespectful to candidates.

Had a phone chat with HR, then a video interview, and finally a panel interview with 3 senior managers, one of whom was the line manager. It took about 5 weeks to hear back, and I had to follow up a few times because they were on holiday. Even though the interview went well and we talked about my minimum salary, after nearly 6 weeks, they said I was overqualified and my salary expectations were too high for the role.

We did a digital interview first, that had 8 questions. You had all the time you needed to prep and could re-record your answer one time before submitting. Then there was a second interview with a key team member. It was a pretty relaxed, conversational chat.
