Arm Embedded Engineer interviews, decoded.

We start with some exercises, basically testing your data structures and algorithms knowledge. After that, there's a video call where we'll chat about what the teams are up to and dive into your past experience, plus ask some technical stuff related to all the areas the teams have worked on. The last interview will be more technical questions, but this time with folks from different teams.

I applied via the ARM website and got invited to a phone interview about two weeks later. It was pretty broad, touching on the job's responsibilities and then diving into HDL, C, ARM assembly, OOP, and computer architecture basics. The call quality wasn't great because it was long-distance, a Skype call would've been better. Still, a good experience overall.

It was a video interview. They asked a lot about computer architecture basics. Also, they touched upon my past work in areas relevant to the role. The interviewer seemed quite focused on ARM processor fundamentals. There was only one interviewer, and they seemed more concerned with answers I missed rather than the ones I got right. They didn't seem very engaged from the start.
