I applied through the company's online portal. The hiring manager then got in touch, and we set up a time to talk. During our chat, they asked me about my past experience and how I approach my work.
I enjoyed speaking with the department's leadership and felt a good connection. However, I recognize that outcomes aren't always guaranteed. While the rejection was a bit disappointing, they casually mentioned that other candidates were considerably younger. This suggests that non-traditional candidates and perhaps women with children might face challenges securing an entry-level position here.
It was a one-on-one chat, then a team interview, and finally an interview with someone more senior. It was pretty chill and not too difficult. They asked a few things not directly related to work, but everyone seemed nice and approachable, not unfriendly. They sent some emails after the interviews.
