Arista Networks Systems Engineer interviews, decoded.

I had a phone interview with Arista Networks that started with a recruiter call. Then I spoke with the Technical Director, followed by the Technical VP, and finally the Sales VP. Unfortunately, I didn't get past the first interview. The director was not very friendly and seemed quite proud of their company being pre-IPO.

Applied directly. Had an interview set up within the week with HR and the hiring manager. The interview was technical, despite it being a presales role, and lasted almost 2 hours. The company needs to improve its branding and go-to-market strategy instead of hiring people who are like scholars or researchers in wifi technology because technical skills alone won't bring in business and client recognition!

It was a very technical interview. I had to whiteboard concepts and give presentations. The personal interviews were also technical. I was told to read up on Arista technologies and the differences in their network designs.
