It was a phone interview. The person interviewing me was super nice and patient. They had me log into their server using ssh and complete some coding tasks. They also asked me some stuff about C and computer systems.
I got contacted on LinkedIn for an interview. There were two calls, separated by a month, to discuss my background and set up the interview. The interview scheduling was poorly managed, leading to confusion and miscommunication about dates. The interviewer was quiet and unhelpful when my code didn't work, making the interview a bit awkward.
It was my first interview and it was great. The interviewer was nice and it was a easy interview but I wasn't prepared enough on some fundamentals in operating systems, actually computer systems stuffs. The algorithm part was easy and it's better to use C or C++, otherwise prepared for tricky questions for Java or other languages.
