It was a 3-step process. First, a 20-40 minute over-the-phone interview. Then, another over-the-phone interview that was 10-15 minutes. Finally, a 1-hour in-person interview. They're looking for someone who is eager to learn about their niche field.
It was pretty chill, I think they were really trying to gauge my sales abilities. I chatted with two managing directors who asked me about my history and what I'm interested in.
It was pretty easy and professional, very laid back. You need some base knowledge, but they'll help you if you don't know something. No stress at all. The first half was just small talk. You don't need to be super knowledgable. Talk about clubs.
