I went through the whole interview process for a procurement job, with several rounds and a final panel interview. The interviewers were good people, but the hiring process was all over the place. They often took a long time to get back to me, changed the schedule without telling me, and didn't follow up like they said they would. It was hard to know where I stood or what was coming next.
I had this initial Interview Screen where the recruiter asked me three questions: Why Arevon?, Tell me about yourself, and If you try to build a system that processes data in 1 minute, what would be your considerations?. The recruiter then emailed me saying I was moved forward for the next assessment round and asked me to solve two questions with one small code snippet. They also asked me to explain what the code does and how I would change it to return some other result. I submitted the answers, which seemed easy, but a week later, I got a general rejection email.
I got contacted by the recruiter, and they said my resume was screened and reviewed by them. Then the recruiter wanted to do a screening round. During the screening round, the HR asked some basic screening questions and some technical questions. While asking clarifying questions, she mentioned she's not a technical person. I'm not sure if she took notes on my answers or if she just ghosted me for 2 months. After I followed up many times, she sent a standard rejection email with no feedback.
