Great process, really helpful insight. I had to do an excel test to prove my excel skills. They asked a lot of competency based questions. Overall, great interview process.
I had two separate 30-minute Zoom interviews with two different people. One interviewer seemed annoyed that I didn't comment on the clutter behind him and even took one of my answers out of context in a negative way. He was very arrogant. There was an Excel spreadsheet involved, but since I didn't know how to use vlookup, we didn't get to it. As someone else noted, those are easy skills to learn, and training is usually provided anyway, so it felt like a bit of a shortcut. Both interviewers kept asking what I didn't like about my current job, which felt strange, like they were fishing for negativity.
I had two interviews, each lasting 30 minutes. It was mostly behavioral questions. Then there was a 30-minute test on Excel, specifically Vlookup. I thought this Excel test was unnecessary for an experienced professional.
