Arcadia Group Limited Sales Consultant interviews, decoded.

The interview process began with a group practical activity where we had to cut pictures from fashion magazines to create a mood board for a specific season and celebrity. After that, there were one-to-one interviews that were really relaxed, like a casual chat. The last part involved going to the shop floor, being given a character, and then picking out an outfit from the store that suited their profile and situation.

The interview process was good, straightforward, and to the point. They asked questions about current trends, my five-year aspirations, customer service skills, how I'd manage an upset customer, and my personal passions and goals. They also wanted to know what I could bring to the company.

The interview was in a tiny storeroom behind the till, which felt unprofessional. It was a general interview, and the interviewer wasn't very friendly. I had to do a shop floor exercise where I had to pick an outfit for a lunch with friends and then sell it to a customer.
