It was a smooth process, and the interviewers were friendly and honest. The interview is a fun part of the process, it lets you really focus and highlight your strengths. It's a group of very smart people, so you should be well-prepared.

Got reached out by the company for an interview. Everything seemed to go well and I had another interview with the team after that. Then nothing. No word back at all from them about what they decided or what the next steps were. I think they really like people from UofM since everyone there seems to be a grad and one of the interviewers mentioned they preferred people who lived nearby. I'm guessing I didn't get the job (after 4 weeks of no response) but it would have been nice to hear something either way. The lack of communication really ruined the whole experience.

There were three interviews in total. The last one involved a presentation, similar to what you'd do in college for an internship, to assess problem-solving skills. A couple of red flags stood out for me: Arbormetrix has poorly trained interviewers making hiring decisions. In the second interview, the main interviewer struggled to answer questions about business practices and the team's ultimate goals. Another red flag was that a significant portion of their workforce are University of Michigan graduates, which felt like potential alumni bias. This bias could hinder their innovation and growth, as well as that of their stakeholders, in the long run.
