It was a three-stage interview process. First, I had a phone chat with the manager and a supervisor. Then, I met with the specialty team. The final interview was with the entire department, where I had to give some booktalks and talk about a program plan. I liked that I got to meet people doing similar work and could ask them and the manager questions. They asked about things like reference interviews and communication styles. Since the department works remotely from different libraries, they also asked about how I'd handle that type of work environment. It was pretty interesting.
So first, I had a quick 20-minute phone chat, just covering the basics like when I'm available and what the job entails. Then, they offered me another interview, but I had to do three tech tests first. After that, I went in for the second interview, which was in person. We talked about my experience and stuff. Lastly, I interviewed at the main admin building to see if it was a good fit for both sides.
I had two interviews. The first was with HR and was pretty basic, just asking about my background and why I want to work here. The second one was with the supervisor and manager, and it was more in-depth with some tougher questions. I also got to ask them questions about the role.
