Aptean Technical Writer interviews, decoded.

The whole thing took half a day. I applied online. First, there's an aptitude test with 50 questions to do in 22 minutes. If you can pick up the pace, it's pretty easy to pass, and everyone has to take it. Then, there's a basic grammar test where you also have to write out some procedures. After the written tests, you'll have a technical interview and then an HR interview.

It started with an online assessment test, 50 questions in 22 minutes, testing logical ability/analytic knowledge. The second round was a written test for English grammar and basic computer skills. The third round was a face-to-face interview with the manager, asking questions from your CV, so be thorough on whatever is mentioned. The fourth round was the final round with the HR, asking basic questions like - What are the skills that you have for us to consider you the best for this role? Being a B.E pass-out, why Technical Writing? Etc.. No salary discussion for a fresher but they offered me a decent package.

So for the interview, there was an online proctored aptitude test, then an online proctored technical English grammar test. After that, there was a face-to-face (online) technical interview that really focused on the SAAS model. They mentioned that the aptitude test isn't really necessary for someone with experience, unlike what they do for freshers.
