Candidate-reported interview process

I was given a task before the interview, and after I successfully completed it, I was invited to an interview with the head of talent. The interview lasted an hour. After the interview, I was told that the position had been changed to a very junior role, and they asked if I wanted to continue the process for that position. They wasted my time.

I had a video interview with the hiring manager. He was very nice and took the time to understand my experience and explain what he was looking for. Super professional and friendly, was very honest as to why they weren't moving forward with my application. If the interview was a reflection of the company culture, this definitely seems the type of place that I would like to work in the future.

It began with two face-to-face interviews. The first was with the hiring manager, who was very personable and people-oriented. The second was with a recruiter, who focused more on skills and experience. After that, there was a home assignment to assess sourcing abilities. This was followed by a reference check. The final step was a meeting with the VP of People, which was also a good experience.
