Candidate-reported interview process

The interviewer was super rude and just kept throwing Java trivia at me, like how the JVM works and weird Java things that you can just look up. They were condescending and didn't even look at the camera, clearly not interested.

It was a pretty standard and short process. The interview was a single onsite interview where they asked about my previous work and then I did an exercise on the computer in the interview room, not on a whiteboard. The interviewer wasn't overly chatty but seemed nice.

The interview process started with an HR call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. They ask technical and logic questions. If they don't like you, they might give you a nearly impossible math/logic test with over 40 questions to solve in under 20 minutes. The vibe I got was they weren't really sure what they wanted in a developer. It's good I didn't move forward, as I found out they have a lot of old Python code.
