A recruiter reached out and we had a good initial chat. Then I moved on to Phase 2, which was a group interview. It was a bit strange because there were 5 of us, but mostly just the Team Lead asked questions. The other 4 were mostly quiet, which was a bit unnerving. Someone even left mid-meeting, which I found impolite. The Director for the software joined and asked a couple of questions, but mostly they just explained the job. It was definitely an interesting experience overall.
The interview process involved 3 interviews. It began with a phone call from HR. If they were interested, the next step was an in-office interview. Since I was interviewing for two potential positions, I met with the managers/supervisors for both at the same time.
The hiring process took a while, about 4 months until the phone interview, then another month for the in-person interview, and almost another month for the offer. The phone questions were pretty straightforward. The VP asked more challenging questions, but if you've interviewed before, you might not find it too difficult. You might also be interviewed by multiple people at once. It seemed like experience was really important, but once I started, I realized some people had very little computer experience.
