Started with a call from the recruiter then had a technical screen. The technical screen was about DSA but applied to a real-world scenario. They wanted a working solution with good code quality.

It started with a 45–60 min Initial Technical Round, mostly about data structures, algorithms, or specific coding to check if you got the basics down. Then came the Remote Onsite Loop, which was a big one. It included a System Design part where you had to architect scalable distributed systems and talk about the pros and cons. There were also 2 Technical Deep Dives, focusing on tough problem-solving, code quality, and handling complex logic when things get intense. Lastly, a Leadership & Culture Fit chat with a senior person or hiring manager to go over your career journey, how you handle things, and how you'd fit into the team's goals.

The interview process involved several rounds focusing heavily on both behavioral and coding aspects. A unique part was a test on autonomous driving knowledge, for which learning materials were provided beforehand. There was a technical round where I was supposed to code in a specific language but wasn't prepared, so we switched to another language and I passed. They inquired about my motivations for joining this specific company and role. Ultimately, they indicated they perceived me more as a general Software Engineer than an Application SWE. Throughout the process, the recruiter was very communicative, arranging check-ins with feedback between stages.
