Candidate-reported interview process

It was kind of all over the place. The first video call was a typical chat about the firm, its mission, and how the role aligns with that. The next meeting was with a tech specialist who seemed totally clueless about my application and why we were meeting. I had to explain everything again from the previous meeting and what I was hoping to discuss. He mentioned he might not be the right person for this interview, and it wasn't a very productive conversation. Later, I got an email saying they wouldn't be moving forward with my application.

We had several one on one video calls and also a research and presentation assignment which was also done over video. They really recommended we buy and read the founder's book about platforms crushing competition.

The interview process was confusing and disorganized, and there was no follow-up. The team seemed like a handful of people who were all talk and no action. The culture felt less genuine as the process continued.
